The actual Willys Jeep manual is what you need to spend some time with. Look at the pictures and read the entire section on engine overhaul and assembly. Tune up, valve adjustment, carburator adjustment, etc. get familiar with all of it.

I due to my bad luck

The pump needs to be submerged in a can of oil, off the motor, for priming. Or, pack it with vaseline. Choose the oil that best fits your operating conditions. Find a colorized chart here.
use the same il in the air filter. Use a drip or two from the dipstick for the distributor and generator.

with the fenders on, and the pump being at an angle that could be messy, i'll try and find a buckets or plastic container to make it work. ok didn't think about oil on the generator or dist.
thanks

The factory recommended that it be primed before it was installed on the motor and then only after TDC #1 had been established.

got the pump primed by hand ( those little gears make some noise ) put atf in the cylinders and had the plugs out.... hit the starter, and notta. battery has 12.8 volts, wire to starter has 12.8 volts, double red wire at the solinoid has 12 volts, and the top wire has power when I hit the key. so maybe a ground issue ? gonna google it and see what I come up with. just my luck, I knew I wouldn't get far today.

No need for Google. Look in the Library on this site. The manuals are here. I have a 3b electrical diagram, got it with my walcks wire harness. but it doesn't list a ground wire, so it must be ground threw the engine. off to remove some paint in the garage. I did find a 2a electrical in the library it didn't open for me, and I would only assume that the two are the same.

Where is your battery grounded? to the frame , in front of the battery tray. I have checked the bolt for grounding ( used the multi meter pos lead to the battery and neg lead to the ground bolt to the frame got 12 volts )
I cleaned up and removed paint from were starter mates to the flex plate, and the ground strap ( on the engine plate by the motor mount ) I have power 12 volts at the solenoid fender side post, and .06 volts on the top post, and .06 on the very front post off the starter. I cleaned up all the post, and the brass plate that grounds to the starter.
so now what ?
