Hello Scout and all! I can get a really great and smooth idle around 700 to 800 rpms but my vacuum needle rapidly moves between 15 and 20 leading me to believe I have worn valve guides... Here’s the thing, when I set the idle rpms higher, say 1000, my vacuum needle steadys out around 17? Does this make sense? Why would vacuum readings be better at higher rpms? Thank you, Geoff

Yes. It sounds like a valve issue.
