All summer 2017 I had trouble, The Mule would not pull a grade at speed-this was never a problem before. Many of you guys were there.. I pulled the dizzy a week or so ago for inspection.. Well lookie here! There's enough play in the shaft bushings to allow the cam lobes to take a bite out of the condenser.. a made in USA condenser at that! You can see the shell is breached and foil inside is barely visible. Of course the points are toast as well.. Attachments:

Well Shoot. Lee has been telling me for years that I can get the skip out of my idle if I tighten up the springs on the advance plate. I'm sure my distributor shaft bushings are cashed too and she doesn't seem to pull the big hill quite as well as before...I think I even have a spare distributor to swap in while we investigate the old one....
