First an explanation. When I took this assembly apart I took very detailed photos. That computer died an untimely death and the photos lost forever. I search the web , nothing that I find. Here is a pic of the accelerator arm mounted to the L134 block. I need to install the springs, washers, and cotter pin. What is proper?

My friend. This is the correct orientation of the mounting plate. Look closely and you will see the spring is on the left, between the lower lever arm and mounting plate. The cotter pin, and a small washer hold the arm shaft at the far right.

Yeppir! It's a good thing you fixed it now, no having to deal with the firewall.

Yes indeed! I looked back at your photos and installed as pictured. A couple of questions . When I removed my original parts I measured the threads exposed near the bellcrank block . 5/16 the rod attached to the spring feel perfect to open and close. Do I need to adjust here?

Glad you like. Second question. As you see I am nuts for brass pieces on my engine. Both you and The Hawk got me started on that.. Now I am obsessed. I think it looks good. Would there be a problem placing perhaps a small brass washer between the mating points on the connecting rod. I find a little slop. Thoughts?

If they are thin enough that they won't cause it to bind. No problem.
