I have picked up the following in-line filter. It even came with the original hose clamps! I plan on using it in line between the tank and the fuel pump.

Is this filter designed for removal and cleaning of the element inside? It looks to me like the ends come off to access the element inside... I just want to be be sure that this is the case before I start pulling on the ends and break something...

If I am right that the unit is serviceable, what are the service and cleaning procedures?

I guarantee heartache if you do. Simply soak it in carb cleaner overnight then back flush with aerosol carb cleaner. Let dry and reinstall.
