Just wondering if I have to swap front mounting plate on F head to install in my 48 Jeepster? Chuck Depends on the engine and what it came from… I’m not familiar with Jeepster L head, if the drivers side motor mount faces forward on the L head it should direct swap as 3A & B also had the forward facing motor mount. Worse case scenario would be swapping the front plate. Why don’t you put a belly button, I mean a GM LS in there, those are all the rage today 😬 Lee😉

The L head in the jeepster likes to vaporize and doesn't like to start. We're downsizing and our daughter would like the jeepster to show, but they are not mechanic's. I'd like to keep it close to stock. 48 and 49 ran the L head and the 50 switched to the F head. It would only be noticed by the well informed. The F head starts and runs better and has 72HP instead of 62HP! Just trying to keep the jeepster close to original to keep the price up. Thanks Lee
