I have a WGD carb on my 55 Willy's station wagon. Research shows it should be a WCD. Question What is the difference between the two?

Hey Jack. Good to have you on board! What size six is it? The '55 wagon was originally delivered with the WGD. It is a correct carb for the six-cylinder motor. However, it was found to be lacking in performance so, after less than a year, Willys replaced it with the WCD. The WGD was manufactured for only the '55 model year. Parts for them are unobtanium unless a full machine shop is willing to make the expensive parts. I do recommend you find a decent WCD but be advised as well that the rod I use to make a new throttle shaft (.375") is becoming more difficult to source as well.

Thx very much. If you come across a useable WCB let me know , I'll go on the hunt for one.

If you buy one I don't have to make a profit off of it.
