I stopped by my cousin TJ’s yesterday, he was installing a water pump on his very nice survivor 3A, I noticed it had a solenoid mounted on the starter and thought well it’s got a supersonic starter on it, someone got tired of that Mickey Mouse foot starter 😂 I then looked at the floor/firewall and no holes for the foot starter WTH! 😮 was it an option to have key start ?…. Or am I missing sompthing here 😬 Lee😉

I think I see it to the right of the park brake hole up higher on the firewall. CJ3A had a funky push rod that pushed straight forward. It had a 1/4 inch wood block under the plate that had a smaller hole in it to keep it from rattling. Just enlarged the picture. What I saw was a captive nut. So, to the left of the Harrison there is no hole with a double bolted vertical plate that has a hole in the center? Is his 3A a very late 3A?

Yes no hole left of the Harrison, I’m assuming a late 3A, had the side mounted radiator?, may have to go back for further investigation 😬 Lee😉
