The accelerator linkage on my DJ-3A looks a little shoddy and I'd like to replace it in anticipation of getting a new carb. My question is how to get to the linkage to replace it -- I'm assuming removing the fender would assist?

No No -- just the top rod that connects to the carb. Mine seems like it seen better days.
