Jeeps in January Florida Edition

Thought I'd add an update. John has had two heart attacks recently. He's in the hospital now waiting for open heart surgery. But the doctors can't operate yet because he's got shingles on his chest, right where they need to cut him open. They won't cut on him until his shingles clears up. So for now he's locked up in his hospital room, reading books, cruising on the internet, trying to get rid of the shingles so he can get operated on. I sure hope he gets rid of his shingles quickly. They can take a while to disappear. And I wish him success with his heart surgery. I guess they tried to put a shunt into his artery but it didn't work because of the blockage. Now the doctors are planning a triple bypass. I'll keep him in my prayers. I hope you will too.

I talked with him on the phone yesterday and he was in good spirits. He talked about two trips he wants to make this year. One to upstate New York to visit a friend there with two houses. And one to Fall Color Tour if the doctors approve of him Jeeping this fall.

Sorry to hear about the Jolly Roger. John always was up beat and full of good sarcastic comments. Hopefully he has no damage already done and he bounces back with excellent blood flow. 

BTDT. If he can, he should walk from recovery to his room. A wheelchair ride is not a good sign.
