Hi, My name is Eric Smith aka 48Willys in this forum. I have loved the old Willys Jeep from as far back as I remember. I finally found one to own myself in December of 2020. I have done very little to it other than cleaning it up, swapping fluids, tune up, solid state distributor, changed head as old one had a crack and had been welded and found. The tub on mine is an older repop that more closely resembles an M38 body minus the cowl batter box. I have big plans for this little Jeep but time and money will make this a long drawn out process. I tripped across this forum looking for a better fuel filter system for my Willys and so glad I did. Pics of the old girl attached. I look forward to the knowledge I will gain from all the experience I can find. This looks like a great place for it. I am located in Central Indiana about 30 miles north of Indianapolis and would d love to meet with other old Willys owners. 48 Drivers Side.HEIC (2.89 MB)48 Front.HEIC (2.99 MB)VZIK02051.HEIC (2.56 MB)UXCK99141.HEIC (2.52 MB)UXCK99141.HEIC (2.52 MB)Attachments:48 Passenger Side.HEIC (2.98 MB)

Hey Eric! Welcome aboard. The crew that lives here on the site is incredibly knowledgeable of Jeeps of all models. About 400+ years worth of combined experience. You can take their advice to the bank and it will earn interest. As an aside, this software is not friendly to the .HEIC/.HEIF format. I use " ImazingConverter" to change the format to .JPG for ease of uploading. Click on the link to check it out.

Just installed the magma flow fuel filter and custom line on my 48 and could not be happier! 15 minute install and could have cut 5 out of that if I hadn’t tried to install the line upside down to start with! Rick was a pleasure to order from shipping was fast and the military discount was amazing too! Highly recommend to all!
