Hi Rick " thanks for letting me join ' The dreaded 637" just Finnished full nut n bolt restoration on my Willys m 38 the motor is ex military N,O,S, came to me in a crate , found it in France , gear wheel cam , 24volt dizzy etc ,all runs well good . no carb when I brought it ,so managed to find 637s in good order ,so put rebuild kit in for that carb ,the works , it runs , revs instantly but hold the gas pedlle 1/4 , 1/2 or full down runs fluffy , revs well to where you leave pedle then goes fluffy, point gap, plug gap , timing etc all spot on , rebuild kit for the 637 is made in Japan , any ideas , help , etc , I live and work in the UK ,born here, did my apprentership as a motor mechanic" been one since , that was back in 1975 so yes I know a bit " have forgot a lot to, But know nothing about this type of Carter carb , hope to hear from you cheers murray.

Brand name of the kit? Did it come with an extra diaphragm spring? Did it have two metering rods?
