When I initially took the carburetor off the F134 in my FC it had what seemed like multiple gaskets stapled together to make a thick gasket. And in the rebuild kits there is just a flat gasket. And I think I remember way back my CJ5 had a hard spacer under the carburetor.
I guess I'm wondering why the different gasket setups and Do I need to get a new thicker gasket or run a regular gasket?

Do you still have the old gasket?is it in good shape? If so, reuse it.

No. It was stuck and tore a bit when I removed the carb.

I usually test YF's with a single thin gasket. They do well with proper tightening. I've used the same one on a dozen or more carbs.

curious.. does the YF not need a diffuser when used on the L134 in a FC??

I've never seen a diffuser gasket for the YF.
