Hi Scout I hope all is well!
I found this in a old jeep in Grand junction Colorado. I asked the owner if he wanted to sell it to me, he said Just take it.
What year would this likely be? do you think its rebuildable?

Lucky you! Great score Jeff! Yes, Late ’40’s thru mid ’50’s. Large size indicates it was designed for a six or eight cylinder motor. It is rebuildable. I have everything you need. The only question I would have is the condition of the bail screw and nut (replacement cost is - $6.75). All prices are USD.
Option A (Assuming Bail Screw/Nut is in good shape) You save labor $ to restore and some shipping. Parts New Ceramic element $20.73 New gasket $12.10 New spring $2.32 Total parts $35.15
Option B (Assuming Bail Screw/Nut is in good shape) Send it to me for restoration Parts $35.15 Labor $17.50 Total $52.65
Option C Send it to me as a core. I ship a restored unit back to you. Core Credit -$15.00 Restored Filter $65.00 You pay $50.00
Shipping, in all three options is $12.00
There is a Lifetime warranty on the element. For as long as you own it, if a problem develops with the element, I’ll replace it free of charge. With option 3, you have your choice of Traditional Red, Bright, Blasted or Natural finish.

Hey Jeff,
I got the filter today. Yes indeed, it needs some work. The element was near powder. It is soaking right now. Do you want it left natural? I can blast it. No charge. Do you want the fittings back? I can clean them up and put them in the box for you. I’ll have it done tomorrow. Option B is in effect.
Thanks,
Rick

Thank you SP. You’ll need a reducer fitting and then a 1/8” NPT Male-Male Nipple into the carb. Take it to your local NAPA and have them help you with the reducer.
