If your considering a new starter, here is my expierience π Thanks for looking!, Lee X2 on the re-clock! I did the same on the 3A. We'll have to compare the sound when we next get together.

If your considering a new starter, here is my expierience π Thanks for looking!, Lee X2 on the re-clock! I did the same on the 3A. We'll have to compare the sound when we next get together. On a cold start it sounds like a B model Cummins cranking over, or as the Professor says a Slant 6 in a duster π But on a hot start it runs so little I do not notice a difference ππ½ Leeπ

Good info. Lee! It would have fit fine if you had cut a hole out of the block next to it, but you solved it with the re-clocking. --- Question: Old starter had a 10 tooth bendix and the new one has 9? ? Still works fine? The spacing between the 9 tooth must match the 97 tooth flywheel. Interesting.

I put one of those on Dora vast improvement. Itβs actually quieter than the original. The original was 6volt powered by a 12volt battery it worked for 5 years that way.
