Many have told me they cannot access the intake manifold vacuum for testing and tuneup. Well, here is a workaround that you should find easy and appealing. The PCV line connects to the intake manifold at a tapped (1/4") port in the manifold side facing the passenger fender and directly under the carburetor throttle plate. With a couple of brass fittings, you can tap that vacuum source for your gauge. The photos below show just what I'm explaining. When not used for testing a soft rubber cap will seal the nipple. The hose on the left is from the vacuum side of the dual action pump. The silver fitting on the right is the PCV Valve connected to the Oil Filler Tube.
