Hi Rick - I needed to remove the glass bowl fuel pump from my CJ3A and could not get a wrench on one of the bolts. Checking with a mirror I saw the actuating lever pin had slipped out and was against the bolt head. Finally got the pin back in and removed the bolt then the pump. Should the pump be replaced? Or maybe punch a dimple on the edge of the body to collapse the opening a bit. Thanks for any suggestions.

The pin is worn and needs to be replaced. Rebuilding an original, even if it's a clone, is roughly the same cost as replacing it with a modern reproduction.

Thanks for the info Rick. I think I have a new fuel pump stuck back for a glass bowl ‘65 CJ5. If it doesn’t work out I’ll give you a call.
