I am working on an M38 with a rebuilt stock carb.
The engine has been rebuilt and sat for about 20 years, never started.
I have it running now, temp is good, oil pressure is 30psi at idle 60 psi at fast speed.
All tuned and running nice, except, after it has warmed up, when idling it will run smooth, vacuum 20 inHg for about 5 seconds and then it will start to idle rough for about 8 seconds, vacuum fluctuating 17-19 inHG. It will go back and forth doing this continuously.
I have changed plugs, condenser, checked and reset points, have not yet changed coil.
Also after it has been shut down the carb will leak.
