On my return from Florida we stopped in Chattanooga TN and checked out Ruby Falls. It is contained inside Lookout mountain and was discovered by accident while sinking an access shaft to a cave on a lower level, very interesting. A few shots of the modified access. Much better wiring than a particular South Dakota cave 😂 And the falls, the water drops 90’. Lee😉

Did you ride the tram car to the top of Lookout Mountain? It’s quite a ride.

How ironic. I was raised about sixty miles east of there. In the mid fifties my Boy Scout troop went to Lookout Mt. We rode the tram up to the top. I was afraid the car was going to fall backwards from the tracks. Anyway it was so rainy and foggy we couldn’t see anything either. That was my only trip to the mt.

Interesting!, I found Georgia, Alabama to be very beautiful, I purchased a book on eastern Tennessee, I would like to see things there as it looks to be an interesting place for a history buff 😎

Maybe your book will include my hometowns of Ducktown and Copperhill. They were copper mining communities during the late 1800’# to the 1970’s. It was a very barren area due to the acidic fumes from the copper smelting process. The area was noted for being one of the few places recognizable by the first astronauts. We had lots of red mud roads and trails for our jeeps!
