I love driving with the top off and windshield down. I really hate putting the soft top on. It fights me all through the entire process. Ruthie came out and helped me get it done. Snaps do not line up, they did when I put the top on new, velcro will not stay togeather. It will stretch if the sun warms it up. Now that it is on I can't wait for spring so it can come off.
The '56 CJ5 had in 1973 had a real canvas top, straps through footman loops, no zippers and really small windows ugh. That was 49 years ago. My memories of that Jeep may be a little fuzzy. It was a keeper that we did not keep. We did not keep the '73 CJ5 we traded it in on either.

Jpet can fix you up with a canvas top, and even put bigger widows in it for you 😎

When whatever is not going per plan I think of the shovel on the back of the CJ5 "Plan B".
