The muni airport down the road from me has 91 octane non-ethanol unleaded fuel with mix-I-go additive pre-mixed at the pump. I've been using it for several years now with good results. Poke Here: www.worldresourcesltd.com/mixigo.shtml
If you get a minute Scout cruise the product info for discussion.
I got to know the FBO there and he set me up with a pump key and an account. An added bonus of buying fuel there is hanging arount the place on sunday afternoons and watching the comings and goings of the Civvy and AG aircraft.
Muley.

At about $1 an ounce (Amazon) I hope it works. I’ve heard of it before. The ad reads like it would help except for one thing. Nowhere in the piece does it discuss e-fuel and how it reacts/interacts with it. I do appreciate the given warning about the quality of the fuel currently available but remember, our “Go Devils” were designed to run on 67 octane gas of dubious quality. With the advent of hardened valve seats, we have no need for lead and I don’t know how our old Carter Carbs would react despite your statement of good performance. Also, I’m jello-ness of your “Bird-watching”! Over.

Lubrication: Contains an ultra smooth lubricant that provides leaded gas benefits to all engines. When used with unleaded fuels, it eliminates the need for lead.
• Coats valve, valve seat, lower exhaust valve guide and upper piston rings with a light film of oil after the combustion stroke.
• Keeps top rings working freely
• Lubricates injectors, carburetor and fuel pump diaphragms
• Provides ample upper cylinder lubrication
• Prevents corrosion in fuel tank and exhaust system
I WAS PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN THIS CLAIM BY THE MANUFACTURER.

One would need a perfectly tuned carb to prevent the carbon buildup mixed with the oil.• Keeps top rings working freely One would need a perfectly tuned carb to prevent the carbon buildup mixed with the oil.• Lubricates injectors, carburetor and fuel pump diaphragms How about the leather skirt of an accelerator pump?• Provides ample upper cylinder lubrication I thought that was the job of the oil pump.• Prevents corrosion in fuel tank and exhaust system Keeping the fuel tank as full as possible at all times will prevent condensation. All good pilots know this and top-off before tie-down for an extended time.I WAS PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN THIS CLAIM BY THE MANUFACTURER.

I haven’t seen one of those in almost 45 years. I’m more familiar with the OV-10, another angry little plane.

Roger that! There was a squadron of -10’s based near us at CanTho. They used to come through our field very once in a while.

If the guy selling this (snake oil) out of a covered wagon on the hi-plains, and Clint Eastwood rode up to him on a horse, he would spit tobacco juice on him and ask how it was at removing stains!....... The same supplier (Kelly Oil) offers the 91 NO-E w/o the additive at the cardlock in town. Must be an AV thing. Feeling lucky Punk?
