Hello, this is my first post here. I have a 42GPW, runs fine, but I would like to make a rig to test fuel pressure, Like the one I’ve seen on Rick P’s carb run-test or tuning videos. Wondering what is a good source for the gauge, and is it a good idea to add a regulator... Thanks! Brian.

Hello Brian. Check with your favorite local auto parts outlet, NAPA, eBay, Amazon for the Vacuum/Fuel Pressure gauge. Next, install a "T" fitting at the carburetor fuel inlet. Attach the fuel line to that "T". Install a barbed fitting in the third port. Connect the gauge's tube to that fitting. Observe the fuel pressure while the engine is running. Two to three PSI is good from a mechanical pump. No regulator required with a good pump.
