Other than buying an entire rebuild kit, I have some loose. I'd be happy to send one to you.

My good friend Chuck Lutz offered helpful information.
I am following the fuel pump spring thread and thought you might be interested in this document. I don’t recall where I got the pic, but it may be in Lloyd White’s MB book. In reading it, I see that a change from the 2lb to the 4.5lb Diaphragm Spring did occur during WWII. While I can’t date it from this page, I do know that there were TWO part numbers for the fuel pump: The original was AC-153776. The spring is AC-1523744 and that is the RED spring and it is 2lbs. The second was AC-1538312. The spring is AC-1523068 and that is the BLACK spring and it is 4.5lbs. (I am 99% positive the 4.5lb is the BLACK painted spring. The GPW-18373-B kit is the 2lb spring kit for the first pump. The second and third pics show the kits and the RED spring. The GPW-18373-C kit is the 4.5lb spring for the second pump. The last pic is BOTH the kits. The EARLY 2lb spring looks RED, the LATE 4.5lb spring looks BLACK. I have noted that an example of the EARLY AC-1537766 pump (RED spring) is dated April 1942. I have noted that an example of the LATER AC-1538313 pump (BLACK spring) is as early as December 1943. By the way, the 1949 SNL lists a third pump, (a replacement) as being AC-1538886. This is also known as the “AC-572” which does not have a priming handle. It appears on the CJ-2A jeeps that may have appeared even prior to the end of WWII. It is NOT a valid WWII jeep pump and I do not believe it even was in production as a REPLACEMENT for the other two pumps during hostilities.
