You and Annie are old experts at this. Kind hearted except for rodents and Starlings. I think feral cats are a problem just about everywhere. I remember watching the National Geographic program about how a marooned ship cat cleaned out the islands population of rare birds. They are efficient animals. I like cats but can't have one as a pet since I'm allergic to cat dander. I had problems with them at my old home and had diseased cats and "activity" right in my back yard. The animal control from the city wasn't much help. It's hard to find homes for all of them. I try and influence them to leave. I don't want to deal with them. The pooping in the dirt next to my shops and peeing on vehicles etc. gets old fast. Always something coming in my yard. Deer and birds attract unwanted visitors also. Land maggots will group up and attack cats. Comical to watch the cat's face when six Turkeys walk right at him crouched down in the grass. Oh oh. LOL>
Put together a Kitten Kondo in in protected but open area in the woodshed this weekend. Spent time with them and the early handling has tamed them well. One has an injury or defect in that it does not use it's front legs well, we'll give her a chance to (hopefully) grow out of it. We are resisting the urge to name them but realize most will remain here. The local rescues are overloaded with cats-it's more than difficult to find them good homes.. The local "MagicCats" (Annie works with them doing low-cost spays/neuters), took in 97 cats/kittens last week.

64cj5: Did not make the trip to six mile yesterday. Got it done to day. A beautiful day for a Jeep ride in the hills. Elk, deer, blue birds, meadow larks, squirrels and chip monks got our attention. Had a nice lunch and then down a road less traveled to home.
