hi all
just rebuilt my WO and got it all tighten and tuned up.
it starts great, it drives great, for the most part it idles great..... but it cant really make up its mind depending on temp.
sometimes its happy at 500ish RPMs or less... other times it wont go below 1,100 unless i readjust it.
and then it will have issues staying running, when i go to restart it later. and the engine is still warm.
but the plugs are a nice tan color! overall it runs good....
thoughts? suggestions?

I need some numbers. Vacuum, Dwell, Fuel pressure, and Timing? Assume all parts were replaced with correct parts? Was the Float Pin replaced? Did you work on the throttle bores and shaft?

pointless ignition. set the fuel pressure at 3lbs. no vacuum gauge. timing set by ear. all parts were replaced. float adjustment and pin are good. it launches good.

Looks like it might be running a tad on the lean side. Not much, but a tad. Where's the PCV Valve?

Is it clear and free-flowing? Don't assume it is.

found the problem. accelerator pump metering rod adjustment was all wrong. would give it gas and it would die when hot. will post new topic for this problem. thanks!
