If when you measure and find say you are 20/64. when you bend the rod should you measure the rod tip to tip and bend the 3/64 to make up the correct length or can you only measure at the accelorator pump?

Extending the rod will lower the top limit of travel for the accelerator pump. Due to the geometry of the mechanism it will also shorten the stroke. Simply bend it. No real measurement can be taken to assist as no two rods are exactly the same overall length. Hope this helps.

Hey Scoutpilot, got the linkage and replaced it here's a comparison picture. Went back over the entire carb. Should be ready to go. Even bought a new pc valve. ( mine had threads messed up on the intake side.) Will try and video the startup. Wish me luck.

Just may have time to finally reinstall carb and manifold tomorrow. Only question I have is souls or can I use etc on carb to manifold gasket? Or copper gasket spray? Help or harm? Thanks for all the great help so far.
