Hello, I rebuilt my wo but do not have the idle metering rid adjust tool. So I just eyeballed it for now. It runs good but idle mix screw is all the way in. Any info of how long that tool is? I have an extra metering rod I can alter to make a tool out of. All help is appreciated.

Let’s deal with this question first. When you say “idle mix screw” are you referring to the slotted knurled brass screw with the tension spring or the steel slotted hex-head screw?

I am talking about the knurled one with spring tension, not idle speed screw. I already removed the top cover and lowered the metering rod a little bit in the slotted lever. It did improve my ability to adjust idle mixture. I am just wondering exactely how high it us supposed to sit?

Good. I had to be sure. The Metering Rod gauge gives you a base setting. It should be no lower than that. More often than not, I have to raise the rod setting during testing and adjustment. More questions. Do you need choke to idle? What is the idle RPM set to? What does your vacuum gauge indicate for idle vacuum?
