Hey Scout,
So i decided to do some research on an old looking fuel pump that came with a bunch of parts in a box when i bought my CJ2A, which is 1948.
I ran the numbers and letters that are cast and stamped in the body and flange of the pump.
Relevant numbers are 1521960 on the pump arm, and 1537766 stamped into the flange edge. AC cast in 2 places on the body, and 42 in a circle with 8 small lines around the circle.
Is this what i think it is?
I'm very curious!

The bail nut has 10 points to it. Inside the valves are held in by a plate retainer.

WWII issue. MB/GPW. Unfortunately, it's missing the manual primer arm.

Is it anything special and worth rebuilding, or are there bucket loads of them around?

RFJP has NOS arms on eBay. I must have spent 2 hours searching but couldn't find this listing! Have you got an item number for me?

WWII issue. MB/GPW. Unfortunately, it's missing the manual primer arm. Is there anything rare or special about these fuel pumps that make them worth restoring, or are they common and I'd be better off saving the $100 it will cost for the rebuild kit, shipping and labour for the cleaning and bead blast?

That's a judgment call on your part. They're not easy or cheap to come by in working condition. Here's the link to the ad.

Thanks! I was looking with "NOS" and then "original" in my keyword search. These are reproduction arms. That would explain it. No matter, I'm sure the arms work just fine.
